How to choose attachments for excavators with a capacity of 2.5 tons or more

1. Mini excavators of 2.5 tons and above: It is recommended to choose attachments (breakers, quick-change tools, buckets, log grapples, etc.) that are precision-machined on a boring machine, have excellent welding processes, and precise dimensions.

◦ Reasons: The machine has a greater overall weight, higher hydraulic flow and pressure, and greater impact/load; the coaxiality requirements for pin holes and ear plates are high. Boring ensures concentric holes, avoiding abnormal pin wear, vibration, and abnormal noise.

◦ Welding: Robotic full welding and bevel welding are better, reducing the risk of cracking.

2. Mini excavators under 2 tons/2.5 tons (1–2 ton class): The working load is small and the hydraulic impact is low, so precision machining on a boring machine is not necessary. Ordinary lathe cutting and simple machining models offer better value.

Note: This does not mean buying inferior products is unnecessary; precision machining on a boring machine is not a strict requirement. Ear plate thickness, weld seams, and pin material still need to be considered.
